The Physics – I Just Wanna Beat
The Physics are fun guys to work with. I went to High School with them back in the day and enjoyed every minute of their humor both back then and present day. I was listening to The Physics CD a few months back in my car and one song in particular was on repeat, I Just Wanna Beat. Needless to say when I found out the song they chose for the video was IJWB, it made it that much more Sweet to shoot! The magic really happens when my main guy Jon Jon strings together the pieces I shot. Working with great people makes life that much better. Keep putting out good songs guys and Jon Jon and I will keep bringing them to life. Enjoy!

J. Pinder – Three Words
First of all I want to congratulate J. Pinder on a successful move recently to Atlanta to pursue his music career even further. I believe in J. Pinder and his ambitious attitude towards music and life. Great things will come soon from this young man!
Although this video diverted from our original idea AND left out a ton of killer footage thanks to a last minute sponsor for allowing us to shoot in an $8 million condo in downtown Seattle, I really embrace this idea. The theme is reminiscent of the movie “Ground Hog’s Day” in which Bill Murray wakes up everyday, only to repeat his same actions. Jon Jon did a great job of making this transition a reality and filling the gap by filming the missing footage.
Thank you J. Pinder and Jon Jon for making this a fun video to shoot. I learned a lot about each of you during our time on this video and am very excited to see great things come from both of you in the future. Move over world. Enjoy!

Sway.com
A few months ago I worked on a little project for a new website Sway.com. Well the video project has finally launched so go check it out. If you are wondering what the site is about, let me shed a 101 level perspective. Sway.com is a social network that allows young women to upload pictures of themselves in their favorite outfits. The community gets to vote on which ones they like best. Sway.com then takes the winners and manufactures that outfit and puts it up for sale on the site. Pretty clever if you ask me!

the mighty ducklings
Nike often sends me new concepts from their R&D Group to test and provide design and development feedback. Today I came home to a new package. Here’s a sneak peek. Enjoy!

Best Cinematography Award!
Remember back a few posts when I worked on a 24 hour film race with a group of talented people? Well the awards have been announced. Although we did not win top 3 for overall film, we did win for Best Cinematography! Why is this so important you ask? It is important because this was the portion of the film that I was directly involved with and had an impact in shaping. The more and more I film each weekend, the more and more my passion grows. I am amazed at what I have accomplished in the last few months by setting up this blog/portfolio/site. I know I have what it takes to design and develop some really great material. Better believe me I will!
It is my friends and family giving me that “wow” look or that hi-five that ultimately help keep me pushing forward to develop new films/videos. Thank you to all of my supporters!

The News Tribune
This past weekend, Jon and I worked on a new video for an up and coming artist out of Tacoma, Roderic Peters. I won’t go into detail about the video as you will just have to wait and see the final product. Lucky for you, The News Tribune filled your need for more info and even gave us a little shout out.
The video – directed by Seattle filmmaker Jon Augustavo – had sort of a “Ferris Bueller” theme, with Peters playing a mischievous detail shop employee who joyrided in a customer’s car before throwing a block party in the parking lot. Peters lip-synced lyrics as cameraman Phillip Conover captured his swaggering gestures and a cluster of friends danced and bobbed their heads to the beat behind him.

Where I Go
Last weekend I had the opportunity to work with a talented group of individuals on a 24 hour film race. We were locked in a warehouse for 24 straight hours coupled with a theme – used and a prop – toothpick. I was camera #2 on this short and although most of the shots were provided by the DP, I did get some key shots in @ 1:56 and 3:13 to name a few that I am pretty proud of given the tight deadline. Not to mention the sleep deprived adrenaline pumping assitance with lighting, camera shots, etc. Enjoy!
Where I Go – A short film from Session 7 Media on Vimeo.
shot @ 1:56 – steadicam | happy with the results of this shot as most all shots were fixed tripod shots. I like to add some motion whenever I can.
shot @ 3:13 – cobra crane | cheap cheap crane with lots of movement and sway. I did not have an external monitor either. Overall I am happy with this shot because I had a few minutes to set it up and shot it in like 2 takes. Had I had a Kessler crane and an external monitor, this shot would have been butter!
