Making an Impact!

I was approached by a group at Microsoft looking to brand a rewards and recognition program. After months of work on not only designing the logo and the UI for the website, I had this idea to create a 30 second promotional video to help this group promote the program amongst other groups within Microsoft. The intial Impact program was adopted by a team of a little over 200 people and with the ambitious goal of rolling this project across all of Microsoft (90,000+), they have adopted a little over 10,000 users at the time I write this. Not bad at all huh? I would like to think my branding and marketing efforts played a huge role in the expansion of this project. The efforts I put into this show that it is important to stretch your talents and skills within your company and outside of your current role. Here is the video I not only directed, but filmed and wrote as well. Enjoy!

JPinder – Upside Down

On a “normal” weekday evening, I get a call from Jon to bring my camera down to an old garage off Western Ave. behind Pike Place Market to shoot a quick video. Upon arriving, the place was rustic looking and prime for a video of this nature. Once I got my camera setup, I took my first look through the glass and was excited at the quality of lighting this piece would present itself. Well the shoot was a breeze, the people even more enjoyable. Thanks JPinder and Jon and everyone else who made this video what it is today. Enjoy!

Is this real life?

No Clue – On The Edge (feat. Eighty4Fly)

Now I know you remember the Eighty4Fly So Cool Video many months back. Well here is a best kept secret – Jon and I actually filmed another video that same weekend with a completely different vibe. Late at night we traveled to LA area to scope out the grimy of the grimy. We hit the jackpot with this tiny run down, horror film like motel in the crevices of Hollywood. It was awesome. Jon and I always talked about fun that video was to shoot. Up until this week, it has remained in our vault. Buried deep under a pile of never before seen videos. Thank you No Clue. Thank you Eighty4fly. Thank you Jon Jon. Enjoy!

C-Flow – Call Me Crazy (feat. Adrian)

It has been a long time since that summer weekend when three guys packed up, jumped in an SUV, and traveled the open roads to Spokane. The city was filled with thousands of people as the biggest 3 on 3 basketball tournament in the country took place. No we were not there to play basketball (although we would have killed the competition), we were there to film another video. Big thanks to C-Flow for letting us crash at his pad. Thanks to Chris for driving along with the ridiculous amounts of support and experience he brought to the table. AND to Jon Jon. You know him, no need for an explanation. He is incredible. Simply put. Enjoy!

Scribes – Roll My Way

At first I was like Hmmmm, then when I saw the footage I was like Yeaaaaa! I am referring to the party in the dark scenes. As the Director of Photography, you are constantly thinking about how to light a scene when the treatment is written. If it wasn’t for the Canon’s great ability to shoot in low light, I am not sure the night scenes would have even been visible. I have to hand it to Scribes for getting not only one but TWO parties together in short time. The energy was awesome and I enjoyed every bit of filming this video. Of course, NONE of this would have been possible without my super talented Director, Jon Jon! I will miss you while you are in LA schooling it up bro. Keep working hard and don’t forget me when you need a go to guy! Enjoy.

The Physics – I Just Wanna Beat

The Physics are fun guys to work with. I went to High School with them back in the day and enjoyed every minute of their humor both back then and present day. I was listening to The Physics CD a few months back in my car and one song in particular was on repeat, I Just Wanna Beat. Needless to say when I found out the song they chose for the video was IJWB, it made it that much more Sweet to shoot! The magic really happens when my main guy Jon Jon strings together the pieces I shot. Working with great people makes life that much better. Keep putting out good songs guys and Jon Jon and I will keep bringing them to life. Enjoy!

J. Pinder – Three Words

First of all I want to congratulate J. Pinder on a successful move recently to Atlanta to pursue his music career even further. I believe in J. Pinder and his ambitious attitude towards music and life. Great things will come soon from this young man!

Although this video diverted from our original idea AND left out a ton of killer footage thanks to a last minute sponsor for allowing us to shoot in an $8 million condo in downtown Seattle, I really embrace this idea. The theme is reminiscent of the movie “Ground Hog’s Day” in which Bill Murray wakes up everyday, only to repeat his same actions. Jon Jon did a great job of making this transition a reality and filling the gap by filming the missing footage.

Thank you J. Pinder and Jon Jon for making this a fun video to shoot. I learned a lot about each of you during our time on this video and am very excited to see great things come from both of you in the future. Move over world. Enjoy!
